CZ132 Brass Rod dezincification resistant brass (DZR Brass) is essentially a leaded arsenical brass with a duplex structure. As its name suggests it was originally developed to provide good resistance to dezincification type corrosion which is experienced by normal hot working brasses. As well as the improved dezincification/corrosion resistance the CZ132 also offers good strength levels is readily machined and easily hot forged. Its primary usage over the years has been for water fittings that are produced by hot stamping and machining.

CZ114 Brass Rod is a high tensile brass consisting of a duplex structure. Developed for more exacting applications where strength and corrosion resistance are required. Also referred to as a manganese bronze the CZ114 has additions of aluminum, iron, tin, and manganese that are added to the basic 60/40 brass matrix, creating a variety of properties to benefit the designer. The aluminum and tin content gives the CZ114 a brighter finish and is the main reason for the increase in corrosion resistance. The iron and manganese additions also improve the strength level, with the iron also acting a grain refiner. Some of the other benefits of the CZ114 grade are a very good hot working capacity to allow for hot stamping and a good machinability ratin.

CZ101 Brass Rod is an alpha brass consisting of approximately 90% copper and 10% zinc. Also known as Gilding Metal the CW501L / CZ101 is primarily offered as a sheet grade due to its excellent cold working properties. The make-up of CZ101 means it is not generally susceptible to dezincification or stress corrosion and due to its formability and its attractive rich golden colour it is widely used for architectural and decorative applications. It is also readily enamelled, soldered and brazed.

CZ106 Brass Rod is an alpha brass sometimes referred to as cartridge brass, with an approximate zinc content of 30% with the balance of the composition being copper. CZ106 exhibits an excellent combination of strength and ductility for the alpha phase brasses. This grade is used for its outstanding deep drawing properties and excellent cold workability.

CZ108 Brass Rod is a 37% zinc containing brass commonly referred to as basis brass. Predominantly an alpha brass it is one of the most popular sheets and plate grades due to its hot and cold working capabilities. CZ108 is often used for general purpose applications and forming operations when very good bending properties are required. It also offers a very good general corrosion resistance in many natural atmospheres, reasonable machinability, and good cold heading properties.

CZ114 Brass Rod is a high tensile brass consisting of a duplex structure. Developed for more exacting applications where strength and corrosion resistance are required. CZ115 Brass Rod consists of a duplex structure and is a high tensile brass with a restricted aluminum content, enabling it to be soldered and brazed. Similar in composition to the CW721 / CZ114 (aluminum content aside) this grade it was developed to allow high strength brass components to be joined. Sometimes referred to as a manganese bronze the CZ115 has additions of iron, tin, and manganese that benefit the physical and mechanical attributes of the alloy. The tin and iron additions impart higher strength levels, while the tin also improves the corrosion resistance. The CZ115 also offers good fabrication properties with a very good machinability rating, ease of hot forging and the ability to lend itself to finish plating.

CZ121 Brass Rod is the standard European grade of free-machining brass consisting of a duplex structure and a 3% lead addition. The particles of lead are finely dispersed throughout the microstructure and act as both a lubricant and a chip breaker to give the alloy its free machining characteristics. The machinability rating of 100% for CZ121 is the standard against which all other copper alloys are rated. It is the most widely used of all the brasses due to its suitability for high-speed machining operations and also the manufacture of intricate parts. Its combination of machinability, thread rolling and knurling characteristics, combined with its good strength, ease of soldering/brazing and high resistance to corrosion makes it the ideal choice for many brass components throughout the industry.
